Gerry D’Ambrosio founded the firm in 1998 after leaving a large Boston law firm and currently serves as Managing Partner of D'Ambrosio Brown LLP. Gerry graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Boston University. Gerry received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and served as an Editor of the Law Review. Upon graduation, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Edward F. Harrington of the United States District Court of Massachusetts in Boston. During this time, Gerry was exposed to many complex and high-stakes cases involving business, employment, land-use, and criminal matters.

Upon completion of his tenure with the federal court, Gerry embarked on a legal career focused on litigation and trial practice. As a state prosecutor, he litigated criminal felonies in the various Massachusetts trial courts. As a large-firm litigation attorney, he handled multi-million dollar civil cases as well as complex white-collar criminal defense matters. Overall, Gerry has successfully litigated hundreds of cases to a judge or jury in Massachusetts. He has also successfully argued appeals before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals.

Gerry also has extensive experience in economic development matters. Having worked for scores of companies in site selection and incentive negotiation projects, Gerry frequently handles incentives transactions, such as tax increment financing plans, headquarters and infrastructure tax credits, infrastructure commitments, industrial site development, jobs tax credits, employee training grants, tax abatements, leasing, and local and state permitting/licensure. His work with numerous state and local economic development programs gives him a real-world understanding of economic development. This in-depth and varied experience makes it possible for Gerry to craft creative, successful solutions for companies expanding existing or locating new facilities that take into account all site selection needs and maximize incentive support.

Gerry’s cases are frequently detailed in media publications such as the Boston Globe, the Boston Business Journal, and the Boston Herald. The Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly has recognized one of Gerry's trial verdicts as one of the Biggest Defense Wins of the Year. Gerry has also authored and contributed to legal research materials published by West’s Massachusetts Practice Series and has been cited as a “Super Lawyer” by Boston Magazine.
